The Institute for Reducing the Shadow Economy, Improving Tax and Customs Administration, and Fiscal Analysis, under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is a state research institution that conducts scientific research in the areas of fiscal policy, public finance, the shadow economy, tax and customs administration, and fiscal analysis.
The Institute's activities, based on the objectives set forth in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-364 of November 28, 2025, "On Measures to Increase the Level of Tax Collection and Incentivize Active Taxpayers," are aimed at expanding the budget revenue base, reducing the share of the shadow economy, improving the tax and customs system, and strengthening the scientific and analytical foundations of economic reforms.
The Institute develops analytical materials, scientific findings, proposals, and recommendations for government bodies and organizations, studies advanced international practices, and carries out scientific research that serves to increase the effectiveness of economic and fiscal policy.
