WAYS TO IMPROVE THE TAXATION OF MICRO BUSINESS IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
The article examines topical issues in the taxation of microbusinesses. It assesses various tax regimes for entrepreneurs in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study finds that the turnover tax and the fixed-rate tax are more attractive to microbusiness entrepreneurs than VAT and profit tax.
The application of VAT does not facilitate the expansion of trade relations between microbusinesses and small, medium, and large enterprises. It is proposed that the existing regime for microbusinesses, a fixed-rate turnover tax (on a voluntary basis), be kept in place. The article also substantiates recommendations for improving microbusiness taxation in the context of economic reform.
