Asia-Pacific Regional Dialogue on Climate Fiscal Resilience and Climate Finance

On 12 October 2026, Abbosbek Jurayev, Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, participated in the Asia-Pacific Regional Dialogue of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action, held in Bangkok, Thailand.

The dialogue focused on managing climate risks, adapting to climate change, and financing the green transition in a constrained fiscal environment.

During the event, representatives of finance ministries across the region and international experts exchanged experience in the following areas:

🔹assessing the impact of climate change on government revenues, expenditures, and debt sustainability;

🔹integrating climate risks into budget planning and public investment;

🔹environmental taxation, carbon pricing, and green public procurement;

🔹mobilizing public and private finance for climate projects;

🔹strengthening regional cooperation.
